Second annual coat drive, and inaugural toy drive

Returning for our second year, The Muriel Thelma Lewis Foundation did it’s second annual coat drive at the Springfield Gardens Family Shelter on December 4th.

In addition to giving away 70 coats, the foundation also added a toy drive for younger children at the Springfield Gardens Family Shelter. In total 60 toys were given away to children of all ages.

Following up from a successful coat drive at Springfield Gardens, the foundation continued its season of giving by going to Skyway Men’s shelter on December 17th where a total of 25 coats were distributed and 25 personal care packs as well as snacks. This was the 3rd event held at the shelter following a series of lunches done in the past.

All told this season the foundation gave away 180 items (coats, toys and personal care) to grateful hands!
