Returning for our second year, The Muriel Thelma Lewis Foundation did it’s second annual coat drive at the Springfield Gardens Family Shelter on December 4th. In addition to giving away 70 coats, the foundation also added a toy drive for younger children at the Springfield Gardens Family Shelter. In total 60 toys were given away to children of all ages. …
The Muriel Thelma Lewis Foundation sent two commercial sized boxes (48″ x 24″ x 28″) of non perishable food items to go to the food insecure in Linden, Guyana. Supporting the food insecure continues to be one of the core values of the foundation. This mission will continue into 2023 and beyond.
The Muriel Thelma Lewis Foundation gave away over 100 coats and over 50 personal hygiene products at a shelter in Queens. We brought in men’s, women’s and children’s coats in all shapes, sizes, colors and designs to be given away to those in need to stay warm as the weather gets colder.
We might be melting with mid-summer heatwaves every other week, however, The Muriel Lewis Foundation is thinking of warm cozy coats! Taking a moment to celebrate with each other in the sun, The Muriel Lewis Foundation hosted a 4th of July backyard games day. Games played included Cricket, Sack Race and Tag. Food, family and fun in the sun.
