The Muriel Thelma Lewis Foundation gave away over 100 coats and over 50 personal hygiene products at a shelter in Queens. We brought in men’s, women’s and children’s coats in all shapes, sizes, colors and designs to be given away to those in need to stay warm as the weather gets colder.
We might be melting with mid-summer heatwaves every other week, however, The Muriel Lewis Foundation is thinking of warm cozy coats! This winter we’ll be running a coat drive from the homeless in the Queens area. Please reach out to domoire@gmail.com if you have any warm winter weather clothing to donate.
Taking a moment to celebrate with each other in the sun, The Muriel Lewis Foundation hosted a 4th of July backyard games day. Games played included Cricket, Sack Race and Tag. Food, family and fun in the sun.
In memory of the first anniversary of Muriel Lewis’ death, her family spent time taking care of the less fortunate – Something Muriel always did during her lifetime. The family spent time at Skyway Men’s shelter in Queens, NY, giving out lunches and care packages with toiletries.
The Muriel Lewis Foundation provided 55 food hampers to the community of Wismar in Guyana on April 2nd, 2021. The Fruits of Calvary Church organized the event. The welfare group of the church assessed the community and selected the persons who would benefit the most from the hampers.
